Dean Rummel, PT, MPT

Clinical Director

Clinton

Dean grew up in Holland Township, NJ and attended Delaware Valley Regional High School. Dean joined Physical Therapy Plus in 1999 and has been the director of the Clinton office since 2001. He received his Bachelors of Science with honors from East Stroudsburg University and his Master of Physical Therapy with high honors from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. Dean’s treatment philosophy is to treat the source of the patients pain and address this as the main issue as compared to simply treating the symptoms that are associated with the present injury. Dean believes that there is nothing that corrects injury and maintains proper function better than the human body itself, it just needs to be stressed in the correct manner which Dean has extensive expertise in. Dean is a strong believer in proper form and function and carrying over what is learned at Physical Therapy into normal daily life so as to not only correct the present ailment but prevent future injury. Dean has an extensive post graduate education, including: advanced training in McKenzie spinal evaluations, Mulligan joint mobilization techniques as well as a strong focus on shoulder, knee and ankle rehabilitation. Dean’s areas of expertise are that of all musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and sports injuries for all age ranges. Other areas of interest include: vestibular rehabilitation, fall prevention and chronic fatigue and pain syndromes. In his spare time, Dean enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and playing/coaching sports.
